HR Generalist

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their client's dynamic team in California. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless HR experience for employees and supporting the various facets of human resources management. The position offers a comprehensive range of responsibilities aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the overall HR function.

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a positive employee experience and workplace culture.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and coordination with hiring managers.
  • Facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and new-hire records.

HR Administration

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, employment verifications, and status change forms.
  • Support payroll processes by reviewing and submitting employee data and changes.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefits communications.
  • Support administration of leaves of absence, including FMLA, state, and company-specific programs.

Compliance & Policy

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with updating and enforcing HR policies and employee handbook guidelines.

Performance Management & Development

  • Support performance review cycles and documentation.
  • Assist with training coordination and employee development initiatives.
  • Track training completion and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

Work hours are standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Additional Details:

The pay range for this position is $30 to $37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
